Hong Kong’s optical communication sector continued to drift lower in intraday trading. CIG plunged more than 24%, while YOFC tumbled over 21% to spearhead the sector’s sharp decline.

Other sector constituents also suffered steep losses. HUA HONG GRACE shed over 14%, and LENS dipped more than 7% amid broad-based selling across the optical communications segment.
