The Shenze Guoshun 300MW/1200MWh new-type energy storage station has recently achieved successful grid connection, marking the largest single standalone energy storage facility currently in operation across Hebei Province. The project employs 40 sets of Sungrow PowerTitan2.0 liquid-cooled storage systems, delivering a substantial boost to the province's grid infrastructure.

This operational milestone directly addresses core requirements for upgrading Hebei's power system, significantly enhancing grid flexibility and resolving challenges related to renewable energy integration and peak-load regulation. The station's deployment is expected to play a pivotal role in stabilizing regional power supply dynamics.

The PowerTitan2.0 system demonstrates exceptional operational flexibility, capable of sustained full-power discharge for four hours, with a single peak output of 300,000 kilowatts. This effectively equates to adding a 300,000-kilowatt peak-shaving unit, delivering over 300 million kilowatt-hours of peak electricity annually to fill demand gaps while enabling rapid frequency regulation and flexible dispatch, substantially reducing grid expansion investments.

On the construction front, the single-cabin 7.5MWh design leverages high-precision simulation planning and intensive layout, improving land utilization by 10% compared to 5MWh solutions. The fully self-developed design incorporates pre-installation and pre-commissioning at the factory, accelerating on-site assembly. Additionally, AI bionic thermal balance technology reduces thermal and electrical losses by nearly 10%, significantly lowering long-term maintenance expenses.

As a standalone storage facility, the project breaks free from the traditional model of being tied to a single renewable energy station, serving instead as a public regulation resource for the entire region. It can substitute for inefficient thermal power unit operations, facilitating the transition of coal power toward base-load supply and emergency standby roles, while coordinating services for surrounding renewable projects by storing surplus clean electricity during daytime and releasing it smoothly during evening peaks, effectively curbing renewable curtailment rates.

The initiative supports the coordinated "source-grid-load-storage" integration in Shijiazhuang, promoting efficient interactive operations across the regional energy ecosystem. Capitalizing on Hebei's pilot advantages in the electricity spot market, the project is positioned to unlock greater market-based revenue potential.

Built on Sungrow's full-stack proprietary storage systems, the station combines reliable hardware, precise algorithm responses, and flexible operational debugging across three integrated layers. This enables comprehensive participation in spot markets, peak-shaving and frequency regulation, and new energy capacity leasing, establishing a diversified and stable revenue model encompassing "peak-valley arbitrage plus ancillary services plus long-term leasing." Looking ahead, as the province's ancillary service market opens further, the project can expand into secondary frequency regulation services, creating additional value for station operations.
