The Inner Mongolia Forestry and Grassland Bureau has announced the official approval and implementation of the Grassland Statistical Survey System (2026-2029) by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Statistics Bureau. This newly established framework will serve as the foundational guideline for all regional grassland statistical survey activities over the next three years.

According to the authorities, the development of the Grassland Statistical Survey System (2026-2029) strictly complies with the provisions of the Statistics Law of the People's Republic of China, the Grassland Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Forestry and Grassland Comprehensive Statistical Survey System of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. The system is designed to closely align with the current realities of grassland protection and construction in Inner Mongolia. It encompasses 10 key categories, including grassland resources, ecological construction, and the "Three-North" Shelterbelt Forest Program's grassland projects, providing a comprehensive overview of the region's grassland protection, development, and utilization status.

The release and implementation of this statistical framework are expected to significantly strengthen the quality management of grassland statistics in Inner Mongolia, promoting a more scientific, standardized, and systematic approach to statistical work. This will provide reliable and accurate data support for forestry and grassland authorities at all levels when formulating policies and guiding scientific management.
