Hainan Province has recently launched a dedicated "One-Stop" service zone for intellectual property protection, marking a significant step in streamlining related administrative services.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Hainan Provincial Intellectual Property Office in collaboration with the Provincial Business Environment Development Department, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Department of Justice, the Provincial Forestry Bureau, and the Provincial Big Data Development Center, has officially gone live on the Hainan Government Services website.

The new "One-Stop" service portal consolidates 51 online government services covering the entire lifecycle of intellectual property, including creation, utilization, protection, management, and service support.

It enables the integrated handling of 45 service items across multiple types of intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, geographical indications, data intellectual property, and new plant varieties, all through a single window.

Businesses and individuals can now use this platform to centrally handle applications and filings for patents, trademarks, geographical indications, new plant varieties, and data intellectual property.

The service zone also facilitates the management of rights, including pledge registrations, fee payments, and modifications for patents and trademarks, as well as applications for intellectual property rights protection assistance, administrative case acceptance, dispute arbitration, and submissions for funding and award programs.

By promoting multi-departmental coordination, sharing electronic certificates, reducing the need for in-person visits, and shortening processing times, the "One-Stop" service significantly enhances the efficiency of handling intellectual property matters for enterprises and the public.

Relevant officials from the Provincial Intellectual Property Office stated that the office will work with other departments to guide intellectual property management authorities, government service halls, service windows, and public service institutions across cities and counties to promote the new platform through various channels.

Efforts will be made to increase policy publicity and interpretation, and the content, interface, and procedures of the service zone will be continuously optimized based on user feedback.
