PER ENERGY Anticipates Net Loss of 40-50 Million Yuan in First Half, Reversing Year-Ago Profit

PER ENERGY (02798) has warned that it expects to record a net loss after tax of approximately 40 million to 50 million yuan for the first half of 2026, a sharp reversal from a net profit after tax of about 3 million yuan in the same period of 2025.

According to the company, the swing from profit to loss is primarily due to geological faults and localized thinning of coal seams at the Xiejiahegou Mine, which has forced a transition to new underground working faces. This has required additional resources for preparation and development of these new faces, leading to a decline in coal utilization rates. Additionally, geological faults at the Hongguo Mine have negatively impacted the recovery rate of clean coal washing, resulting in reduced clean coal production. Despite ongoing operational efficiency measures, persistent inflationary cost pressures covering labor, materials, energy, and logistics have continued to rise compared to the same period in 2025, further affecting the group's profitability.
