Senior Auto Executive Under Investigation for Serious Disciplinary and Legal Violations

Significant news has emerged from the automotive sector.

An investigation has been launched into Guo Zhenfu, a former senior executive, on suspicion of serious disciplinary and legal violations. The probe is being conducted by the discipline inspection and supervision team stationed at DONGFENG GROUP by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, along with the relevant commissions in Henan Province.

Public records indicate Guo Zhenfu was born in 1967, holds a master's degree, and is a senior economist. His career from 1989 to 2015 included roles such as administrator and workshop director at Zhengzhou Light-Duty Automobile Manufacturing Plant, and various senior positions including General Manager and Party Committee Secretary at Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co., Ltd. From 2012 to 2015, he served as Vice President of Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. His tenure as Executive Vice President of Dongfeng Honda Engine Co., Ltd. lasted from 2015 to February 2016. Since March 2016, he has held the position of Vice President at Haima Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

This year has seen several individuals within the DONGFENG GROUP system come under investigation. In March, Mao Zhijun, the Deputy General Manager of the Manufacturing Management Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department) at DONGFENG GROUP, was investigated. Also in March, Tao Jun, the former Deputy Head of the Purchasing Headquarters at the former Dongfeng Yulon Motor Co., Ltd., was investigated. In February, an investigation was launched into Zhang Bin, the former Factory Director and Party Branch Secretary of the casting factory under Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd.
