Apple has confirmed the permanent closure of its retail store at Westfield Hornsby shopping center in Australia this October. The tech giant stated it won't renew the lease for this location, marking the end of its presence in this Sydney suburb since 2011.

All affected retail employees will be offered positions at Apple's nearby Chatswood location, scheduled to reopen the same month following extensive renovations. The Chatswood Chase store has been temporarily closed for months to undergo complete redesign, which will include an Apple Pickup station for online order collection.
