This compares to net profit of $743 million, or $0.91 per share, in the same period last year. According to FactSet data, adjusted earnings per share, which exclude various one-time items, came in at $0.99, exceeding the analyst consensus of $0.95 per share. Total revenue increased by 4.9% to $5.36 billion, aligning with market analysts' expectations.

By region, Colgate-Palmolive reported net sales growth across all geographic segments, with the exception of North America, where net sales declined by 3%. Chief Executive Officer Noel Wallace stated that while the current operating environment remains challenging, the company still managed to achieve sales growth. He anticipates that market volatility will persist through the end of this year but expressed confidence in the company's future growth.

Outlook: The company has raised its earnings per share growth forecast, now expecting mid-single-digit percentage growth for the full year, up from its previous expectation of low- to mid-single-digit growth. At the same time, Colgate-Palmolive maintained its full-year revenue growth forecast, with a projected growth range of 2% to 6%.
