Li Auto Inc. (LI AUTO-W, HKEX: 02015) disclosed a fresh share buyback carried out on 14 August 2026. The company repurchased 435,546 Class A WVR ordinary shares—traded as American Depositary Shares (ADSs) on the Nasdaq Global Select Market—at prices between USD 6.12 and USD 6.17, for a volume-weighted average cost of USD 6.1451 per share. The aggregate consideration amounted to USD 2.68 million.
Following the transaction, Li Auto’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) fell marginally by 0.03 % to 1.73 billion shares, while treasury shares rose to 89.72 million. The total issued share capital remains unchanged at 1.82 billion shares, as the repurchased stock is being held in treasury rather than cancelled.
The August repurchase forms part of the mandate approved on 29 May 2026, which authorises Li Auto to buy back up to 214.28 million shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate now total 70.13 million shares, representing 3.27 % of the company’s issued share base at the mandate date.
In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, Li Auto is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 13 September 2026.
