GEEKPLUS-W Co-founder Liu Kai to Become Non-Executive Director, Effective 28 August 2026

Beijing Geekplus Technology Co., Ltd. (GEEKPLUS-W) announced that co-founder and current executive director Mr. Liu Kai will be re-designated as a non-executive director on 28 August 2026. The change allows Liu to concentrate on the research and development of embodied technology while retaining influence over the company’s strategic planning and major decisions.

Liu, aged 40, co-founded Geekplus in February 2015 and has served on the board since June 2016. He was elevated to executive director in November 2024 and concurrently serves as a director or supervisor in two subsidiaries. His upcoming non-executive tenure will run through the end of the board’s second term, expiring on 5 November 2027.

Ownership details show that Liu, through Tianjin Geek Juhe Technology Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership), holds an indirect interest in approximately 39.51 million Class A ordinary shares, equivalent to 2.95% of Geekplus’s total share capital. He is also party to a long-standing concert-party agreement with the other weighted voting rights beneficiaries—Mr. Zheng Yong, Mr. Li Hongbo and Mr. Chen Xi—governing coordinated decision-making and share transfers.

A specialist in intelligent robots and multi-agent systems, Liu owns 144 patents and has received multiple industry accolades, including the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing’s Science and Technology Progress Award (second prize) and listings on 36Kr’s “X · 36Under36” and the Hurun Under 40s China Entrepreneurs.

Following the re-designation, Geekplus’s board will comprise seven non-executive and executive directors alongside four independent non-executive directors. No other disclosures under Hong Kong Listing Rule 13.51(2) were required.
