The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and ANTA SPORTS have formally signed a three-year global cooperation framework agreement. The partnership will focus on technical support, humanitarian assistance, and joint sustainable development initiatives, aiming to advance safe, orderly, and regular migration, support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhance the protection of migrant workers' rights and the welfare of vulnerable groups.
Li Wen, Chief of the IOM Mission in China, stated that as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, IOM has always advocated for multi-stakeholder collaboration to improve migrant welfare and promote global sustainable development. The cooperation with ANTA SPORTS covers multiple areas, with the collaboration on migrant worker rights protection marking the first time IOM has partnered with a Chinese enterprise in this field, setting a positive example. This partnership also aligns with the trend of Chinese companies expanding globally, improving responsible supply chain compliance, and deepening ESG practices, providing support for corporate sustainable development.
Lin Wei, Vice President of ANTA SPORTS Group, expressed that as a sportswear group rooted in China and serving the global market, ANTA SPORTS has always regarded the protection of migrant workers' rights as a core issue in building a sustainable supply chain. The company believes that focusing on migrant workers' rights is not only a moral responsibility but also a long-term value investment. Through this collaboration, ANTA SPORTS hopes not only to enhance its own supply chain compliance but also to explore a replicable, scalable, and sustainable path for protecting migrant workers' rights across the entire sportswear industry.
The signing of the agreement marks a significant step forward in global migration governance collaboration, responsible business practices, and the advancement of sustainable development. In the future, both parties will deepen cooperation across various fields, enrich the partnership's scope, and jointly contribute to achieving the UN SDGs.
ANTA SPORTS Group, founded in 1991, is the world's third-largest sportswear enterprise. Its business encompasses the design, research and development, manufacturing, marketing, and sale of sports products. In addition to its core brand "ANTA SPORTS", the group also owns sportswear and equipment brands including Arc'teryx, Salomon, Wilson, and Atomic.
As the leading agency on migration within the UN system, IOM adheres to the principle that safe and orderly migration benefits both migrants and societal development. For over seventy years, IOM has worked with global partners to create favorable development environments for migrants, helping them contribute to socio-economic progress while actively addressing the root causes of forced displacement.
