As the White Dew solar term draws near, the vast mountain nut forests of Yongde County are heavy with fruit, with branches laden across the landscape. As a signature local industry, Yongde County's 600,000 mu of nut trees are showing exceptional growth and abundant fruiting this year, with fruit-setting rates and total output across all townships steadily improving compared to previous years, clearly signaling a bumper harvest.

In core planting areas including Daxueshan Township, Chonggang Township, Yalian Township, Yongkang Town, and Dedang Town, heavy nut clusters adorn the branches, presenting a scene of abundant harvest. After years of meticulous cultivation, growers across the townships have developed increasingly mature management expertise, with nut quality and yields rising year after year, giving farmers growing confidence in their income prospects.

Daxueshan Township, one of Yongde County's primary nut-producing regions, boasts a 163,000 mu planting area and is experiencing excellent overall growth this year. Grower Yang Jianqin, who has been deeply involved in the nut industry for over a decade and now manages a 250-mu operation, noted: "Output keeps climbing each year. This year I expect to harvest around 80 tons of green husk nuts. Nuts are our family's main source of income."

To uphold quality standards and prevent early harvesting or the market entry of immature green nuts that could damage brand reputation and long-term farmer earnings, Yongde County has strengthened comprehensive controls across the entire nut collection process this year. Multiple measures are being implemented with precision, strictly enforcing the standard of "no picking before White Dew, no harvesting of unripe nuts" to safeguard nut quality and sustainable industry development.

Alongside collection-side controls, Yongde County is also tightening management on the purchasing front. Authorities are conducting comprehensive inspections of nut processing enterprises, fixed purchasing points, and itinerant buyers across the region, clarifying bans on harvesting and purchasing immature or tender nuts, and cracking down hard on illegal purchasing practices. A quality-based pricing procurement mechanism is being strictly implemented, with a mature and standardized market purchasing system stabilizing farmer income expectations, effectively protecting growers' legitimate rights and ensuring premium nuts command premium prices.
