Recently, Shanghai's Changning Raffles City was filled with rich Tibetan atmosphere, as Kamba dancers' bold steps and fluttering khatas witnessed a unique departure ceremony - H World Group's 20th anniversary "Route 318 Must-Drive Journey, Huazhu Gives You the Courage to Travel" RV tour officially began. Master Qiu, holding the "Huazhu Route 318 Sichuan-Tibet Guidebook," received the blessed khata on behalf of the convoy. Behind him, sample RVs created by Huazhu's brands including Hanting and JI Hotel were ready to depart. The convoy will set off from Shanghai, traveling westward along National Highway 318, crossing plains, valleys, and plateaus to finally reach Lhasa, covering a total distance of 4,580 kilometers.

National Highway 318 is known as "China's Scenic Avenue," offering breathtaking scenery along with challenges such as altitude sickness and complex road conditions. From formerly rugged roads covered with gravel to today's "spiritual totem" in countless travelers' hearts, the 318 Sichuan-Tibet route not only attracts off-road adventurers but also welcomes diverse groups including young people on shared bikes and retired seniors on leisurely journeys.

Addressing practical needs in highland travel, H World Group has built a "safety network" relying on over 300 hotels along the route. From Kangding and Litang to Batang and Lhasa, multiple hotels not only provide diffused oxygen rooms, whole-house floor heating, and emergency supply replenishment, but also offer free access to lobby restrooms, effectively alleviating travelers' concerns on the plateau.

H World Group has continuously cultivated the domestic hotel market for 20 years and currently operates over 12,000 properties across more than 1,000 cities nationwide and 19 overseas countries. In 2020, Hanting Hotel under Huazhu entered Medog, Tibet - China's last county to have road access, marking the official opening of the group's 10,000th property. This year, a hotel at an altitude of 4,700 meters in Gaize County also began operations, breaking the conventional notion of "no good hotels on the plateau."

Beyond upgrading hardware facilities, Huazhu actively integrates into local development. In hotels along the Sichuan-Tibet route, Tibetan employees account for as high as 62%, creating many employment opportunities for locals and supporting the integration of western tourism and economic development.

As the world's largest hotel loyalty club with over 288 million members, Huazhu upgraded its "Expensive Pay Back" price guarantee policy in July 2025, promising "refunds for price drops, compensation for overpayment," further strengthening member benefits. From eastern cities to western plateaus, brands including Hanting, JI Hotel, Orange Hotel, and Floral Hotel continue to provide standardized, high-quality accommodation experiences for travelers.

This "Route 318 Must-Drive Journey" RV tour is not only an important part of H World Group's 20th anniversary celebration series but also a deep practice of its brand philosophy "Let Peace of Mind Be Everywhere." The convoy will pass through Kangding, Batang, Bomi, Nyingchi, and other locations before finally reaching Lhasa. Interactive activities will be conducted at multiple stops along the way, where participants can win "courage supply packages" and commemorative badges through offline check-ins or online platform live streams.

Life's journey extends beyond Route 318. H World Group states that whether travelers head to snow mountains, coasts, or forests, over 12,000 hotels nationwide will continue to serve as safe harbors for travelers, accompanying every journey.
