Founders of Pop Mart and Renowned Investor Share Rare Public Moment at World Cup Final

In a rare public appearance, the founder of POP MART (PMRTY) and a prominent investor were photographed together at the final of the FIFA World Cup in North America. This marks the first time the company's largest and second-largest shareholders have been seen together publicly.

Notably, the founder recently led a team of senior executives on a visit to Apple's headquarters, Apple Park, in Silicon Valley, where they met with Apple CEO Tim Cook and incoming CEO John Ternus. Upon seeing this news, the investor remarked on social media, expressing that he had just missed the meeting as he had visited Apple to see John on the same day.

In a significant move, the investor, through an investment vehicle, acquired a substantial stake in POP MART in late May, purchasing millions of ordinary shares. This acquisition brought the combined holdings of the investor and their associates to a significant percentage, establishing them as the second-largest shareholder, following the founder who holds the largest stake.

Just three days later, the investor increased their position further, buying additional shares at an average price, with the transaction involving a considerable sum. In early July, a third major purchase was made, acquiring another large block of shares at a specific average price per share, which involved an even larger capital outlay and raised the investor's total stake to a new level.

Previously, the investor has publicly praised the founder's business acumen, drawing a favorable comparison to a legendary tech industry figure.
