According to projections disclosed this week by Goldman Sachs to prospective investors, the bank's analysts anticipate that Space Exploration Technologies Corp will have a combined cash burn of $120 billion for the current and next year. From 2024 through 2030, an additional $230 billion is expected to be consumed, bringing the total projected cash burn to $350 billion.
Goldman Sachs forecasts that SpaceX's total capital expenditures will reach approximately $360 billion by 2028, with roughly 80% of that funding directed towards its artificial intelligence ventures.
The associated projections indicate that SpaceX's revenue could hit $474 billion by 2030, with AI-related business contributing two-thirds of the total revenue. Compared to last year's revenue of $18.7 billion, this would represent a 25-fold increase.
Goldman Sachs expects SpaceX's revenue this year to double to $38 billion, with the growth primarily stemming from its collaborative project with Anthropic.
As the lead investment bank for SpaceX's potential initial public offering (IPO), Goldman Sachs declined to comment when approached by media.
