On September 17, the "Millions of Talents Converge in Southern Guangdong" 2026 N-City Linked Autumn Recruitment Event made its way to Hubei University. Co-hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Government, and the Ministry of Education, with Huizhou City serving as the main organizer, the event saw over 100 enterprises from Huizhou offering a combined total of 5,542 quality job positions online and offline. This initiative aims to build a bridge for Hubei's college graduates to pursue employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

According to a representative from the Huizhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Huizhou, as a key node city in the Greater Bay Area, consistently ranks fifth in Guangdong Province for economic output, with a total industrial output value of 1.5 trillion yuan from large-scale enterprises. While the city continues to deepen its two pillar industries—petrochemical, energy, and new materials, alongside electronic information—it is also accelerating its footprint in emerging sectors like artificial intelligence, robotics, new energy storage, the low-altitude economy, and the marine economy. This industrial evolution demands high-caliber, specialized talent. The representative highlighted that Hubei University's strong programs in materials science, chemistry, and electronic information align perfectly with Huizhou's key industries and emerging tracks.

Many of the participating companies are leading enterprises from Huizhou and the wider Guangdong region, covering high-end manufacturing, new energy, artificial intelligence, and other emerging fields. They brought a wealth of opportunities in technology research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and algorithm development. To attract talent, the city is offering graduates relocating for work up to 15 days of free accommodation, along with one-stop youth services including employment and entrepreneurship guidance, discounted housing, and assistance with urban integration.

Li Tianzhen, a human resources specialist at EVE Energy, noted that her company's 2027 campus recruitment plan aims to fill approximately 1,600 positions, with nearly 500 vacancies designated for the Central China region. The recruitment focuses on R&D technology, intelligent manufacturing, marketing, and functional operations, and also includes openings for doctoral-level high-end technical roles. Li emphasized that Hubei University's robust engineering programs in mechanics, materials, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering are a strong match for the company's core needs in intelligent manufacturing and R&D. She expressed hope that this special recruitment drive would attract more top-tier graduates from Hubei University to join the company and contribute to its technological innovation and industrial upgrading.

The event broke away from the traditional single-model job fair format by innovatively creating a multi-scenario "recruitment + experience + services" approach, blending industry showcases, city promotions, and thoughtful services. Highlights included drone patrols and soccer drone demonstration matches, allowing students to immerse themselves in the frontier developments of Huizhou's low-altitude economy and intelligent robotics industry, offering a direct glimpse into the vitality of the Greater Bay Area's emerging sectors. From September 16 to 19, the "Millions of Talents Converge in Southern Guangdong" 2026 N-City Linked Autumn Recruitment event will sequentially visit 11 key universities across Hubei.
