Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd. (Sihuan Pharmaceutical) has signed a definitive cooperation agreement with dProtein Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (dProtein) to create a jointly owned medical-aesthetics venture. The new joint-venture company (JV), to be led and majority-controlled by Sihuan Pharmaceutical, marks the execution phase of the group’s “AI + Medical Aesthetics” strategy outlined in September 2025.

The JV’s mandate is to apply artificial-intelligence tools across the full medical-aesthetics value chain—from R&D through production to commercialisation. Key objectives include: • AI-driven design of novel biomacromolecule and polymer materials, incorporating predictive modelling for injection protocols and tissue response. • Integration of real-world clinical data into AI models to improve product safety, optimise formulations and shorten development timelines. • Development of AI tools for aesthetic clinics to support diagnosis, personalised treatment planning and physician training.

Beyond medical aesthetics, Sihuan Pharmaceutical and dProtein will collaborate on AI-enabled design of novel protein and nucleic-acid therapeutics to unlock additional growth opportunities.

To reinforce the partnership, Sihuan Pharmaceutical has participated in dProtein’s Pre-A fundraising round, becoming a strategic investor. Transaction size was not disclosed. Both the JV formation and the investment fall below the 5 % thresholds stipulated in Hong Kong Listing Rule 14.07; therefore, they are exempt from connected-transaction and disclosable-transaction requirements under Chapters 14 and 14A.

Sihuan Pharmaceutical, founded in 2001 and listed in Hong Kong since 2010, positions itself as an innovation-led international medical-aesthetics and pharmaceutical group. Its medical-aesthetics business spans raw materials, finished products and commercial channels through Meiyan Space Biotechnology (Jilin) Co., Ltd., covering fillers, shaping agents, energy-based devices and skin management solutions.

dProtein specialises in AI-driven protein engineering via its proprietary Deep Protein Space Engine (ADPSE) platform, integrating high-throughput experimental verification with iterative data feedback to accelerate molecule design.

The alliance combines Sihuan Pharmaceutical’s established commercial network and product pipeline with dProtein’s AI technology stack to reduce R&D costs, compress development cycles and enhance innovation success rates in high-end medical-aesthetics raw materials and next-generation therapeutics.
