A nationwide network outage struck T-Mobile, one of the largest telecom operators in the United States, on the afternoon of July 27, leaving millions of customers across the country without cell service, unable to place calls, send texts, or use mobile data.

T-Mobile officials later confirmed the incident, stating that technical teams had been urgently deployed to resolve the issue and that services were gradually being restored. According to data from network monitoring site Downdetector and social media platforms, the outage began around 4 p.m. Eastern Time on July 27, affecting a wide swath of the country.

As a result of the disruption, a large number of T-Mobile users reported that their devices could not make calls, send text messages, or connect to mobile networks. Many users of Apple's iPhone saw their devices display "SOS" mode in the status bar, indicating that cellular network connectivity was completely lost, leaving only emergency call functionality available.

Monitoring data also showed that the networks of other major US carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, were not significantly impacted by the outage. In response to the incident, a T-Mobile spokesperson issued an official statement, saying the company's technical teams are working diligently to resolve the technical issues affecting customers, that restoring service is the highest priority, and that all available resources have been mobilized to accelerate the repair process.

While some users in certain regions have begun to see their signals restored, a considerable number of customers are still experiencing unresolved network disruptions.
