Data from Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee reveals that the country's declared oil exports for the January-July period declined by 12.1% year-on-year, totaling 12.72 million metric tons.

Despite the volume drop, the export value increased by 4.9% to reach $8.03 billion, driven by higher global oil prices. Oil's share of total exports fell to 41.54%, compared to 50.31% in the same period last year.

Italy remained the largest buyer, importing 7.47 million tons, which accounted for 58.7% of Azerbaijan's total oil exports, with a value of $4.56 billion. The Czech Republic imported 802,370 tons worth $562.1 million, while Romania imported 821,310 tons valued at $522.2 million.
