Gautam Banerjee, Chairman of Blackstone Singapore, Appointed to DBS Board

According to Zhitong Finance APP, DBS Group recently announced the appointment of Gautam Banerjee as a member of the boards of DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank, effective October 1. He will bring valuable insights to the DBS board in the areas of corporate governance, risk oversight, and long-term value creation.

With decades of experience advising businesses and serving on the boards of several major institutions, Banerjee has accumulated deep expertise in professional services, corporate governance, and strategic management, which will further strengthen the composition of the DBS board. Banerjee is currently Chairman and Senior Managing Director of Blackstone Group LP (Blackstone Singapore). Prior to this, he worked at PwC for more than 30 years, including nine years as Executive Chairman of PwC Singapore, and retired from PwC in December 2012.

He currently also serves as a board member of Singtel and GIC. His previous board experience also includes Singapore Airlines, Piramal Enterprises, and the Defence Science and Technology Agency of Singapore. He also previously served as Chairman of the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise. Peter Seah, Chairman of DBS Group, said: "I, together with my fellow directors, welcome Gautam to the DBS board. Gautam has extensive experience in corporate advisory and has served on the boards of major institutions. Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in corporate governance, risk oversight, and long-term value creation.
