Hutchison Port Holdings Trust said on Feb, 5 2026 that its indirect wholly owned unit, Asia Port Services (HK) Limited, has formed a joint venture with Shenzhen Port Group’s subsidiary Shenzhen Port Shipping Development Co.

The new entity, SH Connect Limited, was incorporated on Aug, 1 2025 in mainland China. Asia Port Services holds 40% of the venture, while its partner owns the remaining 60%.

The joint venture has a registered capital of 15.0 million renminbi, equivalent to about 2.68 million Singapore dollars, fully paid in cash by the partners in proportion to their shareholdings. Hutchison Port Holdings Trust will account for the investment as an associate.

SH Connect will operate and develop a container barge services network linking the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area with Beibu Gulf Port in China.

Apart from this transaction, the trust said there were no other acquisitions or disposals of equity interests during the financial year ended Dec, 31 2025.
