On August 7, shares of Hong Kong-listed innovative medical device company PEIJIA-B (09996.HK) experienced a sharp surge, closing up 19.3% at HK$5.13.

In terms of news, Peijia released its unaudited operational data for the first half of 2026. The company's two major segments, heart valves and neurointervention, both grew, with a significant increase in TAVR procedure volumes driving a notable rise in revenue.

The announcement indicates that in the first half of 2026, Peijia achieved revenue of approximately RMB 415 million to RMB 435 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.4% to 23.1%. The company's revenue growth was primarily driven by its two core business segments.

First, the transcatheter valve therapy business continued to expand, mainly propelled by the successful commercialization of new indication products. Leveraging the group's mature transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) commercialization capabilities, it allowed the company to seize new market opportunities from the approved indication for aortic regurgitation (AR).

Second, the neurointervention business saw sustained growth, driven by the continued market penetration of the company's self-developed products and the expansion of its product portfolio through strategic collaborations.

Regarding the transcatheter valve therapy business, the total number of TAVR procedures performed in the first half of this year was approximately 2,830, a year-on-year increase of 36.5%. Benefiting from the commercial launch of the new TaurusTrio product for the aortic regurgitation indication, over 660 cases of this product have been implanted in mainland China, opening up a completely new incremental market. By the end of June, the hospital coverage for TAVR products had expanded to over 850 hospitals in the Greater China region, adding 70 new medical institutions compared to the end of last year, with channel penetration continuing to deepen.

The other major growth driver, the neurointervention business, maintained a stable upward trend. Relying on the continued penetration of self-developed products and the expansion of its product matrix through strategic collaborations, business revenue steadily increased. In the first half of this year, the neurointervention segment achieved an expanded commercial scale and contributed additional revenue growth.

The company has formed a dual-business driver pattern of "structural heart disease + neurointervention." In terms of pipeline, Peijia has a rich reserve, with key products such as a third-generation TAVR product and the mitral valve repair device GeminiOne currently in the registration promotion stage, which is expected to further enrich its product matrix in the future.

However, the company is still in the investment cycle for innovative devices. To ensure new product clinical registration and market academic promotion, R&D and sales expenses will remain at a high level, and the overall turnaround to profitability will still take time to verify.

It is also worth noting that the preparations for the 13th Hong Kong Top 100 Selection have now entered the preparatory stage, with the registration channels for each candidate list simultaneously opening. As an innovative medical device company with high-speed business growth, whether Peijia can successfully secure a spot on this year's Top 100 list is worth continued market attention.
