The "Action Plan for Accelerating High-Quality Development of Beijing Olympic Central Area (2025–2027)" has been released. As the world’s only "Dual-Olympic" zone, Beijing Olympic Central Area will establish a spatial layout of "one axis, one belt, four poles, and two wings," focusing on four key initiatives: upgrading consumption formats, industrial integration, urban renewal, and capacity enhancement to create a "Global Dual-Olympic Reception Hall."

According to the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the area boasts eight national and municipal-level cultural and technological facilities, hosting nearly 100 concerts annually, along with major events like the Chaoyang International Light Festival. Its commercial facilities, including high-end complexes like Beichen Hui, attract over 30 million visitors yearly. As a barrier-free, open 5A-level tourist destination, it welcomes nearly 100 million tourists annually. The area also features seven national-level sports venues, such as the National Stadium, hosting nearly 100 high-level international and domestic competitions and 200 public sports events yearly. Additionally, the National Convention Center (Phases I and II) offers 65,000 square meters of exhibition space.

By 2027, the Beijing Olympic Central Area aims to become a must-visit destination for domestic and international tourists. By 2030, it will evolve into an international reception hall showcasing the capital’s grandeur and dynamic fashion. Spatially, it will center on the North Central Axis, enhancing its cultural and Olympic heritage, while the Dragon-shaped Water System will serve as a vibrant leisure belt, creating an eco-friendly waterfront corridor.

Key functional highlights include: - **International Sports and Performance Hub**: Leveraging seven major sports venues for international events, emerging robotics sports, year-round winter sports consumption, and trendy performances. - **Historical and Cultural Experience Hub**: Utilizing eight cultural and tech venues for heritage studies, art consumption, and interactive tech experiences. - **Business and Exhibition Hub**: Expanding international, professional, and fashionable events around the National Convention Center and adjacent commercial complexes. - **Olympic Forest Park Leisure Hub**: Promoting outdoor activities, wellness platforms, and family-friendly trends. The area will also integrate innovation resources from Zhongguancun’s Jianxiang sector and commercial assets from the Asian Games Village business district.

Four major initiatives will drive development: 1. **Consumption Upgrade**: Embedding boutique commercial facilities in venues, parks, and plazas, innovating event-based consumption models, and curating themed tourist routes. 2. **Industrial Integration**: Leading with sports while amplifying exhibitions, culture, and fashion, integrating AI, and hosting global robotics competitions. 3. **Urban Renewal**: Enhancing cultural spaces, ecological networks, and iconic projects like the Olympic Tower and a world-class tennis park. 4. **Capacity Enhancement**: Improving infrastructure, transportation, and green initiatives, with regular ESG and carbon neutrality reports for major events.

The plan ensures inclusive public services and age-friendly spaces, elevating international standards.
