iQiyi Inc. Releases National Day Holiday Data: Platform-wide Viewing Duration Increases 11.2% Week-over-Week

According to data from iQiyi Inc.'s Data Research Center, during the first seven days of the 2025 National Day holiday, the platform's cumulative viewing duration increased 11.2% compared to the week before the holiday.

In the drama category, beyond popular series "Silent Glory" and "A Smile That Follows the Song" sparking viewing frenzies, 10 content titles with popularity scores exceeding 10,000, including "All Living Things," "The Knockout," and "Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: Journey to the West," also entered the top 30 for TV drama channel viewing duration. Notably, the platform began offering limited-time free access to select content library titles starting in September. Holiday data shows that non-member viewing duration increased 21% week-over-week, with high-definition classics like "Ultimate Notes," "Nirvana in Fire," and "Journey to the West" becoming popular "holiday companions" for viewers. The long-tail value of popular drama IPs continues to be released, with "Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: Journey to the West" immersive theater experiencing a 383.6% week-over-week increase in visitor numbers during the first seven days of the National Day holiday.

For movies, the concentrated release of theatrical films drove iQiyi Inc.'s movie channel viewing duration up nearly 40% week-over-week. "Chang'an's Lychee" led the rankings with a content popularity score of 7,720, while "Ne Zha: The Devil Child Stirs Up the Sea" maintained its summer momentum, staying in the top five for viewing duration. War-themed films became a National Day holiday viewing favorite, with "East Pole Island" not only achieving a popularity score exceeding 7,000 but also boosting the performance of "Dawn Sniper," "War Fire Sniper Kill," and "The Volunteers: The Battle of Life and Death."

In other categories, variety shows, children's content, animation, and other channels all achieved week-over-week growth in viewing duration. iQiyi Inc.'s self-produced variety shows "King of Comedy Stand-up Season 2," "Sisters in Charge," and "Annual Comedy Competition Season 2" proved highly popular. "Boonie Bears: Mystical Treasure" and "One Piece" served as "stress-relief tools." The micro-theater launched 23 new works in rotation, achieving "new dramas every day," with "Peach Blossom" topping the popularity charts and six micro-dramas achieving popularity scores exceeding 3,000.

Data shows that during the first half of the October holiday, self-driving trips exceeded 240 million person-times, with increasing demand for "on-the-road" viewing emerging. During the first seven days of the National Day holiday, iQiyi Inc.'s in-vehicle viewing duration increased 79.5% week-over-week.
