Southern 2x Long Tesla (07766) saw its shares jump more than 7% on Thursday, with the latest trading showing a 7.12% gain to HK$84.20, accompanied by a turnover of HK$3.06 million.

The rally follows Tesla Motors' announcement on August 22 via social media that it will host a Cybercab unveiling event on September 3 in Austin, Texas. The Cybercab, designed exclusively for fully autonomous driving, eliminates the steering wheel and pedals entirely. Featuring a two-door coupe silhouette with gull-wing doors and design cues borrowed from the Cybertruck, the vehicle operates solely on Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) software system.

Production of the autonomous electric Cybercab began in North America back in April this year. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly positioned the Cybercab and its Robotaxi service as key drivers of the company's future revenue and profit growth, viewing them as central pillars of its broader AI strategy.
