The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the information and communication industry, outlining key priorities for technological innovation and consumer adoption.

The plan emphasizes accelerating the rollout of innovative applications such as 5G New Calling, glasses-free 3D displays, and 5G Messaging, while also promoting high-quality offerings like whole-home smart interconnection to expand intelligent service formats.

A major focus is driving the innovation and widespread adoption of emerging smart terminal products, including connected vehicles, integrated televisions, home robots, and AI glasses. To complement these hardware advancements, the plan calls for enriching digital content in areas like cultural creativity and sports events.

Furthermore, the initiative aims to broaden digital consumption channels by expanding instant retail, social commerce, and live-streaming e-commerce platforms. It also seeks to deepen the integration of information and communication technology with essential public services such as education, healthcare, and elderly care, with a particular emphasis on delivering digital public service solutions to grassroots communities, rural areas, and remote regions.
