Recently, the JD Clean Vegetable Quick-Freezing project, located in Gongzhuangzi Village, Huangzhuang Town, has accelerated its pace. The main structures, including workshops, cold storage facilities, and the comprehensive building, have been fully completed, entering the preparation stage for interior decoration. The overall project volume is now more than halfway finished.

Reportedly, this project is invested in and constructed by Sanhe City Chunteng Agricultural By-Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chunteng Company"), with a total investment exceeding 100 million yuan. It covers an area of approximately 29 mu, with a total construction area of over 16,000 square meters, and will establish a modern clean vegetable processing and quick-freezing storage center integrating processing workshops, large-scale cold storage, and a comprehensive building. Upon operation, the project is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 8,000 tons of products such as vegetable soup bases, salads, and quick-frozen clean vegetables, ensuring a stable supply of high-quality agricultural products to the Beijing market and propelling regional agricultural integration and development to a new stage.

"The project's core competitiveness lies in 'clean vegetable processing' and 'quick-freezing freshness locking'," introduced Wang Jing, General Manager of Chunteng Company. The project will focus on seasonal fresh vegetables, converting them into ready-to-use or ready-to-eat clean vegetable semi-finished products through standardized processing. It will then utilize advanced quick-freezing technology to lock in freshness, extending the product shelf life to one year. This model can effectively resolve the problem of sales difficulties during peak vegetable harvest seasons, significantly increase the added value of agricultural products, and provide safe, convenient, and high-quality ingredient supplies to large catering chains and residents in Beijing, becoming a vital support for perfecting the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "food basket" supply chain.

As a clean vegetable production demonstration base recognized by Hebei Province and a vegetable production base in the areas surrounding Beijing, Chunteng Company has already obtained green food certification and has initially formed an integrated development pattern combining primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. This new project further introduces cutting-edge technologies such as rapid pre-cooling and Individual Quick Freezing (IQF), enabling the completion of clean vegetable freezing processes in a short time. This maximizes the retention of vegetables' natural color, flavor, and nutritional components, significantly enhancing product preservation duration and cross-regional transportation capabilities.

"The project adopts a 'planting base + central kitchen + cold chain distribution' model," Wang Jing stated. The project connects upstream with the company's own cooperatives and surrounding farmers and links directly downstream to core markets in Beijing. Stable supply partnerships have already been established with several well-known catering enterprises. At full production capacity, the project is expected to annually store and process up to 500 tons of various vegetables, achieving an annual output value of 69 million yuan. It will also employ 170 local people and drive scaled planting among surrounding farmers through an order-based agriculture model.

The accelerated progress of the JD Clean Vegetable Quick-Freezing project is not only a solid step for Sanhe City in constructing a modern urban agricultural industrial system but also a vivid practice of coordinated development within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei agricultural product supply security system.
