Tencent Executes Ongoing Buyback, Adds 230,000 Shares on 24 September; 3.01 Million Shares Await Cancellation

Tencent Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 230,000 ordinary shares on-market on 24 September 2026 at prices ranging between HKD 433.40 and HKD 439.60 per share, spending HKD 100.53 million. The volume-weighted average price for the day was roughly HKD 437.08.

The latest transaction lifted the total number of shares bought for cancellation but not yet cancelled between 8 and 24 September 2026 to 3.01 million, equivalent to about 0.03 % of Tencent’s 9.10 billion issued shares. No new shares were issued during the period; the company’s issued share capital remained unchanged at 9.10 billion shares.

Under the general mandate approved on 13 May 2026, Tencent is authorised to repurchase up to 911.80 million shares. Cumulative buybacks under this mandate have reached 47.16 million shares, representing 0.52 % of the shares outstanding on the mandate date. In line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, Tencent is restricted from issuing new shares for 30 days following the 24 September repurchase, setting the moratorium period until 24 October 2026.
