China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited has named Qiu Baohua as Senior Vice President, with the appointment taking effect on 18 August 2026.

Qiu, 48, holds a master’s degree in Engineering and brings broad managerial experience in China’s telecommunications sector. His prior roles include: • Director and Deputy General Manager, China Mobile Group Fujian Co., Ltd. • Chairman and General Manager, China Mobile Group Guangxi Co., Ltd. • General Manager, Marketing Department (Brand Management Department), China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. • Non-executive Director, Phoenix Media Investment (Holdings) Limited.

Qiu currently serves as Vice President of China United Network Communications Group Company Limited, Senior Vice President of China United Network Communications Limited, and Director and Senior Vice President of China United Network Communications Corporation Limited.

The announcement was issued by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dong Xin. As of the announcement date, the Board comprises four Executive Directors—Dong Xin, Jian Qin, Tang Yongbo and Li Yuzhuo—and four Independent Non-executive Directors—Cheung Wing Lam Linus, Chung Shui Ming Timpson, Law Fan Chiu Fun Fanny and Fan Chun Wah Andrew.
