Frencken Group Limited said on May, 8 2026 that Melvin Chan Wai Leong retired as Lead Independent Director after reaching a nine-year tenure, stepping down from the Audit and Nominating committees at the close of the Apr, 24 2026 annual general meeting.

The company appointed current independent director Dato’ Noorashidah Binti Ahmad as the new Lead Independent Director with effect from May, 8 2026.

Frencken Group also named Tay Peng Huat as an Independent Director, effective the same date. Tay will serve as Chairman of the Nominating Committee and join the Audit Committee; the company confirmed he meets the independence requirements under Singapore Exchange Rule 704(8).

Following these changes, the board now comprises Non-Executive Chairman Dato’ Seri Gooi Soon Chai; President and Executive Director Dennis Au; Lead Independent Director Dato’ Noorashidah Binti Ahmad; and Independent Directors Foo Seang Choong and Tay Peng Huat.

Committee leadership has been reorganised as follows: • Audit Committee – Chairman: Foo Seang Choong; Members: Dato’ Noorashidah Binti Ahmad and Tay Peng Huat. • Remuneration Committee – Chairman: Dato’ Noorashidah Binti Ahmad; Members: Dato’ Seri Gooi Soon Chai and Foo Seang Choong. • Nominating Committee – Chairman: Tay Peng Huat; Members: Dato’ Seri Gooi Soon Chai and Dato’ Noorashidah Binti Ahmad.

The changes take effect immediately.
