PEIJIA-B (09996) announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai JQ Biotech Suzhou Co., Ltd. (JQ Biotech), has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with B. Braun Medical (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd. (B. Braun Medical). Under this agreement, JQ Biotech has obtained the exclusive distribution rights for B. Braun Medical's product, the SeQuent® Please CIS Paclitaxel-Coated Intracranial Balloon Dilation Catheter, in mainland China.
The SeQuent® Please CIS is an intracranial paclitaxel-coated balloon dilation catheter developed based on B. Braun Medical's established drug-coated balloon (DCB) technology. During mechanical dilation of the target lesion, the product precisely releases the coated paclitaxel to the vessel wall of the lesion. As an anti-proliferative drug, it effectively inhibits intimal hyperplasia and reduces the long-term risk of restenosis. The product is specifically designed for the delicate and tortuous anatomical characteristics of intracranial vessels, aiming to provide an innovative "implant-free" treatment option for intracranial vascular diseases.
As of the date of this announcement, the registration application for the product has been submitted to China's National Medical Products Administration. B. Braun Medical is a global medical technology company with extensive experience in the DCB field. Since launching one of the world's first commercial DCBs in 2008, which has become one of the most extensively studied DCBs in cardiology, B. Braun Medical's platform products have accumulated substantial global clinical application experience and robust evidence-based medical data.
The collaboration with B. Braun Medical further enriches the Group's neurointerventional product portfolio and strengthens its strategic positioning in the field of innovative intracranial intervention solutions. Leveraging JQ Biotech's local commercial resources and academic promotion capabilities, the Group expects to accelerate the future clinical application of SeQuent® Please CIS following regulatory approval and further consolidate its position in the neurovascular intervention market.
