Easyknit International Holdings Limited (EASYKNIT INT’L) has expanded its investment in Best Food Holding Company Limited by acquiring 10.33 million shares on 28 July 2026 through its wholly owned subsidiary, Gold Winner Investment Limited. The shares were bought on the open market for HK$8.78 million in cash, equal to an average of HK$0.85 per share.

The latest purchase raises EASYKNIT INT’L’s holding in Best Food from 4.66% to 5.31% of the restaurant group’s issued share capital. All funds were sourced from internal resources.

Because the combined size of the current and a previous purchase disclosed on 17 October 2025 pushes the relevant percentage ratios above 5% but below 25%, the transactions are classified as a “discloseable transaction” under Hong Kong Listing Rule 14.06(2), triggering mandatory reporting and announcement requirements.

Best Food, listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange, focuses on operating chain restaurants and managing food-and-beverage brands in mainland China. According to its 2025 audited results, the company generated revenue of RMB399.16 million, recorded a loss before tax of RMB0.40 million and a net loss of RMB9.21 million. Net liabilities stood at RMB152.55 million as of 31 December 2025, an improvement from RMB220.18 million a year earlier.

EASYKNIT INT’L stated that the acquisition aligns with its securities investment strategy and reflects confidence in Best Food’s prospects. The board deemed the transaction fair, conducted at prevailing market prices, and in the interests of shareholders.
