Joyzyme Group (08622) released its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, highlighting double-digit revenue growth driven by product diversification and the first-time consolidation of its women’s health subsidiary, Hunan Keyue Biotechnology.
Revenue and Profitability • Consolidated revenue increased 34.3% year on year to RMB 16.56 million, underpinned by the acquisition of Keyue, which contributed RMB 3.57 million from healthcare products and supplements. • Core biological reagents and auxiliary reproductive supplies and equipment delivered RMB 12.99 million (+5.4%). Within this, male fertility IVD reagents generated RMB 10.37 million, representing 79.8% of the segment’s sales. • Gross profit rose 25.5% to RMB 10.56 million; gross margin moderated to 63.8% (1H 2025: 68.3%) due to the lower-margin healthcare segment. • Loss attributable to shareholders was RMB 2.35 million, broadly stable versus the RMB 2.37 million loss a year earlier. Basic and diluted loss per share remained at RMB 0.47 cent. No interim dividend was declared.
Segment Performance • Biological reagents and auxiliary reproductive supplies and equipment: Segment profit reached RMB 1.57 million (1H 2025: RMB 0.59 million). • Healthcare products and supplements: Segment loss widened to RMB 0.99 million, reflecting start-up expenses for the re-launched Nutronic brand and integration of Keyue.
Financial Position • Cash, bank balances and deposits (maturity over three months) totaled RMB 39.24 million at period-end, down from RMB 41.94 million at 31 December 2025, mainly due to operating cash outflows. • Interest-bearing borrowings stood at RMB 2.34 million; borrowings from a controlling shareholder were RMB 1.75 million. The gearing ratio increased to 15.6% (31 December 2025: 9.7%). • Net assets amounted to RMB 49.13 million (31 December 2025: RMB 51.16 million).
Operational Updates • The Group completed Class II registration for its improved Sperm Morphology Analysis Assay Kit, scheduled for commercial launch in 2H 2026. • Nutronic resumed operations in early 2026, backed by 27 Health Canada natural health product licences and an established overseas supply chain. • Research and development spending rose 24.4% to RMB 2.29 million, driven by ongoing fertility diagnostic projects. • Selling and distribution expenses rose 15.5% to RMB 4.07 million, reflecting marketing investment for the healthcare segment.
Corporate Developments • Effective 19 January 2026, the company changed its name from Huakang Biomedical Holdings Company Limited to Joyzyme Group Limited. • No material acquisitions, disposals, significant investments, asset pledges, or contingent liabilities were reported during the period. • Two unsecured shareholder loans totaling HK$5 million (RMB 4.55 million) were drawn at a 3% annual interest rate.
Outlook Management cited subdued consumer demand and geopolitical uncertainties but maintained a cautiously optimistic stance, aiming to evolve from a product-focused supplier into an integrated healthcare ecosystem while scaling its healthcare products and expanding internationally.
