The Chongzuo Elderly Care Services Association held its inaugural member representative assembly on July 31, under the guidance of the Chongzuo Civil Affairs Bureau. This event marks the formal establishment of the association, filling a void in the city's elderly care industry social organizations.

In strict compliance with social organization management regulations, the assembly reviewed and approved key documents including the preparatory work report, the association's charter, and membership fee management methods. Democratic elections were conducted to select the first board of directors, supervisory board, as well as the association's president, vice presidents, and secretary-general.

The association is a non-profit city-wide industry social organization voluntarily formed by entities such as local elderly care institutions, medical and wellness facilities, community-based home care service providers, household service companies, and vocational skills training schools. Its members encompass a broad spectrum of stakeholders within the elderly care sector.

Following its establishment, the association will act as a crucial bridge and link. It will actively promote and implement elderly care welfare policies, collect and reflect industry development demands, and enhance industry self-discipline by guiding member units toward standardized operations and honest service. Additionally, the association will conduct ongoing skills training for nursing staff and medical caregivers, strengthening the talent pool in elderly care services.

Beyond training, the association plans to organize industry exchange and observation activities alongside public interest events promoting respect for the elderly. By integrating industry resources across the city, it aims to foster coordinated development among institutional, community-based, and home-based elderly care models.

The formation of this association is a direct response to the challenges of an aging population, aiming to improve the city's elderly care service system and establish a platform for government-business communication and industry exchange.

A representative of the association stated that the next steps involve continuously refining internal management systems, uniting the collective strength of the city's elderly care sector, and contributing to the professional, standardized, and high-quality development of elderly care services in Chongzuo. This effort is designed to enhance the sense of fulfillment and happiness among the city's senior citizens.
