Data shows that in the first quarter of this year, China's robotics industry accelerated its expansion into overseas markets, with export value reaching 11.32 billion yuan. These products have been sold to 148 countries and regions worldwide, establishing robotics as a new highlight in China's foreign trade. Among them, cleaning robots performed exceptionally well, with export value hitting 7.75 billion yuan in the first quarter, making them the dominant export category. Additionally, industrial robot exports grew rapidly, with export value increasing by 42% year-on-year.
The accelerated growth in robotics exports fully demonstrates that Chinese robots are user-friendly, intelligent, and favored by various markets. For instance, during a recent trade fair, a foreign woman with disabilities stood up with the assistance of a Chinese-made exoskeleton robot, showcasing the power of Chinese technology to international buyers. The service robot zone at the exhibition attracted significant attention, with various robotic products becoming highly sought-after items.
Domestically, the application scenarios for robots continue to expand. During the recent Labor Day holiday, a group of robot traffic officers began duty in Hangzhou, forming the country's first traffic management robot squad. These robots not only direct traffic but also answer pedestrian inquiries and provide accurate directions, quickly becoming popular attractions on the streets. Humanoid robots working in factories are also becoming a reality. At a flat-panel manufacturing plant in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, humanoid robots operated on the assembly line for eight consecutive hours without major abnormalities.
The continuous improvement in robots' capabilities and the expanding opportunities stem from China's robust development of new quality productive forces. Breakthroughs in technologies ranging from algorithms and large models to visual recognition are making robots increasingly intelligent. Furthermore, China's complete industrial system provides comprehensive supply chain advantages that create favorable conditions for the mass production of robots.
As Chinese robots go global, China's innovations will benefit more people worldwide.
