Transcenta Receives RMB 7.00 Million HiCB Milestone, Bolsters CDMO Pipeline with New GMP Contracts

Transcenta Holding Limited (Transcenta) has secured a RMB 7.00 million milestone payment under its non-exclusive HiCB (highly intensified continuous bioprocessing) licensing agreement with Taiwan-listed EirGenix Inc., reflecting completion of the collaboration’s first technical deliverables and progress toward GMP deployment of the platform at EirGenix’s facility.

To accelerate global commercialization of HiCB, former Chief Technology Officer Dr. Christopher Hwang has been appointed Head of Global Partnerships, tasked with expanding out-licensing, overseeing implementation and driving associated revenue streams—including licensing fees, customized CHO medium optimization and ongoing medium supply.

Parallel to its licensing activities, Transcenta reports “steady progress” in its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) segment. Recent wins include: • GMP drug-substance production contracts for complex biologics utilizing HiCB processes. • GMP drug-product manufacturing agreements for small-interfering RNA (siRNA) projects. • Ongoing negotiations for integrated IND development, additional siRNA GMP production, developability assessments and material generation for global customers.

Management highlighted that combined momentum in HiCB out-licensing and CDMO services positions the company for sustainable growth while supporting continued investment in platform enhancements and core R&D programs.
