XPeng to Launch World’s First Flying Car in 2026, Teams Up With Alibaba Cloud on Quantum Tech

He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng mentioned during a speech at a forum that the group has been developing flying cars for 12 years, and it will truly mass produce and begin delivering the world's first "car + airplane" combination foldable flying car by 2026.

To this end, He revealed that XPeng has poured billions of RMB into the development of seven generations of prototypes.

Meanwhile, XPeng and Alibaba Cloud formally signed a post-quantum security technology cooperation agreement at the Apsara Conference. The two companies announced that they will take post-quantum security algorithm projects as the foundation for joint research and expanded collaboration in automotive security algorithms, aiming to provide users with safer and more reliable services.

Looking ahead, XPeng and Alibaba Cloud plan to deepen their partnership in automotive security and extend post-quantum encryption technologies to broader applications, including AI, V2X, semiconductors, robotics, and flying vehicles.

XPeng shares jumped about 6% in morning trading.
