Xiaomi founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun, along with several safety experts, conducted a live broadcast from the Xiaomi automotive factory on the evening of February 27. This marked Lei Jun's first live session following the Spring Festival holiday.

During the broadcast, Lei Jun announced that the new generation SU7 model now features nine airbags, an increase from the previous seven, providing more comprehensive protection for rear-seat passengers. He specifically emphasized that despite the enhanced airbag system, wearing seat belts remains essential. Without seat belts, the effectiveness of airbags is significantly reduced, particularly for passengers in the second row.
