Recently, Tianjin Zi'an Energy Co., Ltd. obtained certification and became an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) enterprise. Since the beginning of this year, our city has added 13 AEO enterprises, bringing the total to 373.
The AEO system is a core component of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade. As enterprises with the highest customs credit rating, AEO companies enjoy preferential measures such as priority processing and reduced inspection frequency, effectively lowering international trade costs and enhancing global competitiveness.
In recent years, Tianjin Customs has focused on the city's foreign trade advantages by establishing a list of key AEO cultivation enterprises. Through one-on-one guidance, policy seminars, and online explanations, the customs authority has helped businesses improve internal controls and trade security systems while clarifying certification standards and application procedures. Additionally, AEO enterprises are prioritized for inclusion in smart customs reforms, such as remote inspection pilots, improving customs efficiency and enabling "fewer checks, faster clearance."
To date, China has signed AEO mutual recognition agreements with 31 economies, covering 57 countries and regions.
