An announcement has been made by SUNNY OPTICAL (02382) regarding a capital injection into a joint venture. The company's board has approved a resolution, pending shareholder approval from Goertek Inc. at its upcoming general meeting on June 25, 2026.

Under the proposed agreement, Ningbo Aolai, a subsidiary of Sunny Optical, and Goertek Inc. will act as subscribers. They are set to enter into a subscription pact with Goertek Optics, a joint venture entity.

According to the terms, both Ningbo Aolai and Goertek Inc. will commit to investing RMB 500 million each into Goertek Optics. This investment will translate to the subscription of approximately RMB 110 million in new registered capital by each party.

Upon completion of this capital increase, Ningbo Aolai's stake in Goertek Optics is expected to be around 33.27%. Following the transaction, it will remain the second-largest shareholder in the venture.
