SpaceX's chief financial officer has indicated that the initial batch of upgraded Starlink satellites, slated for orbital deployment via the Starship rocket later this month, is projected to start generating revenue. The company also plans to launch its first orbital computing satellites next year, signaling a broader strategic push into advanced space-based infrastructure.

During a presentation at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, CFO Bret Johnsen expressed heightened confidence in SpaceX's long-term financial trajectory, stating that the company is "more confident" in its forecast of reaching $100 billion in annualized revenue. This optimism comes as SpaceX continues to diversify its revenue streams beyond its core satellite internet business.

Earlier this month, SpaceX finalized a new data center hosting agreement. While the client's identity and the exact transaction value were not disclosed, the structure of the deal mirrors previous partnerships, suggesting a scalable and repeatable business model. This latest arrangement follows a massive $30 billion computing services contract signed with Google, underscoring the growing demand for SpaceX's capacity to support heavy-duty cloud and AI workloads in space.

The combination of upcoming Starlink upgrades, orbital computing ambitions, and expanding enterprise partnerships positions SpaceX to accelerate its revenue growth in the coming quarters, with the Starship program playing a pivotal role in enabling these new capabilities.
