Basecare Medical Receives NMPA Class III Certification for Gems Cleavage Embryo Culture Medium

Bulletin Express
05/13

Suzhou Basecare Medical Corporation Limited (Basecare) announced that its self-developed Gems cleavage embryo culture medium has secured a national Class III medical device registration certificate from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), registration No. Guo Xie Zhu Jin 20263180177.

The approval completes full domestic certification for the four core primary culture products in the Gems series, enabling Basecare to offer a fully compliant, sequential culture-media portfolio that supports the entire embryo-culture cycle in assisted reproductive treatments.

Before the latest NMPA clearance, the Gems cleavage embryo culture medium had already obtained European CE, U.S. FDA, and Australian TGA certifications, underscoring its international regulatory acceptance.

Developed from three decades of technology at Sydney IVF Center and validated through 13 years of overseas clinical use, the medium incorporates multiple antioxidant components and optimized nutrient ratios to enhance early-stage embryo stress resistance and developmental support, addressing specific clinical needs in China’s assisted-reproduction market.

The company’s board advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in Basecare’s shares following the voluntary disclosure of this regulatory milestone.
