HK ROBOTICS (00370) announced that on September 22, 2025 (after trading hours), AI Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, Aberdeen Robotics China Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aberdeen Robotics (a subsidiary of the company held 51% by the company and 49% by CloudMinds), and CloudMinds have entered into a technology licensing agreement. Under this agreement, CloudMinds has granted Aberdeen Robotics China Company and its affiliates the right to use approximately 1,780 patents and 110 software copyrights (IP) owned by CloudMinds and its affiliates in the Greater China region, including: (i) exclusive rights to use IP related to humanoid robot operating systems and cloud brain platforms, as well as robot operating licensing technologies; and non-exclusive rights to use IP related to humanoid robot intelligent joint technologies and hardware, as well as other core hardware technologies.

The announcement stated that the Group has been implementing a strategic plan to develop and maintain its proprietary humanoid robots for applications in education, healthcare, elderly care services, property management, and other real-life applications. This move aligns with the Group's goal of staying at the forefront of technological innovation and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities in the robotics sector. The IP under the technology licensing agreement is crucial for the implementation and commercial success of this strategy. Through the utilization of this IP, the Group aims to accelerate the development process, enhance the functionality and reliability of humanoid robots, and reduce time-to-market. The IP includes proprietary operating systems, cloud brain platforms, and robot operating licensing technologies, which are indispensable for creating sophisticated and efficient robotic solutions.
