On the afternoon of July 21st, Haidilao released its "2026 First Half Food Safety Transparency Report" on its official social media account, providing a comprehensive disclosure of the food safety inspections and corrective actions taken across its national store network.

The report indicates that during the first half of this year, Haidilao's Quality and Safety Management Center conducted 2,840 unannounced surprise inspections covering areas such as kitchens, dining areas, storage facilities, and delivery zones. These inspections identified 2,467 details that did not meet the company's internal food safety standards, all of which have now been fully rectified.

It is understood that Haidilao has established a three-tier mechanism consisting of "headquarters supervision and inspection, store self-inspection, and daily food safety officers." Headquarters inspections are conducted without prior notice, stores carry out daily self-checks, and frontline staff take turns serving as designated food safety officers.

Since 2019, Haidilao has been publishing its headquarters inspection results and rectification progress monthly on its official website. To date, 85 such reports have been released, a practice that has now continued for over seven years.

Zhang Yong, Chairman of Haidilao, has previously stated, "There are two ways a restaurant company can fail. One is due to management problems; if that happens, the decline could last for months or even years. The second is due to food safety issues; once that occurs, Haidilao could be shut down tomorrow. It's a matter of survival. We understand that the path to ensuring food safety, though winding and arduous, is one we must walk."
