Six months have passed since KE Holdings Inc (NYSE: BEKE) co-founders Peng Yongdong and Shan Yigang donated shares to establish the Health Family Care Fund, and new data reveals how many agents with critical illnesses have benefited from the program. On August 24, the company, also listed as BEKE-W (HK: 02423), released the latest distribution figures for the fund.

As of that date, the Health Family Care Fund had disbursed a total of 6.76 million yuan to 161 service provider families across 56 cities nationwide. Among the recipients, five agents have cumulatively received over 200,000 yuan each, while 25 additional service providers have received between 100,000 and 200,000 yuan. The remaining 131 beneficiaries, including store owners, regional managers,商圈经理, painters, and bricklayers, each received 20,000 yuan in critical illness support. Notably, 101 of the fund's beneficiaries are also members of BEKE's "Green Plan," with 11 of them receiving combined coverage from both programs, totaling 809,414 yuan in cumulative payouts.

Alongside the fund's progress report, BEKE also published a health report based on service provider data accumulated through the Green Plan and the Health Family Care Fund, aiming to raise awareness about health risks within the housing services industry. The data reveals that service providers are affected by as many as 449 distinct illnesses, characterized by a "few high-frequency, many dispersed" pattern. Malignancy-related conditions account for nearly 20% of all disease categories, with thyroid cancer, breast cancer, acute myocardial infarction, liver cancer, and cerebral hemorrhage ranking as the top five critical illnesses for fund claims.

These figures reflect the real health challenges faced by service providers and underscore the fund's original purpose. Established on February 24 by co-founders Peng Yongdong and Shan Yigang, the Health Family Care Fund automatically covers service providers without requiring separate enrollment or fees, taking effect after six months of employment. In April 2025 and February 2026, the two co-founders announced donations of 19 million shares each to support medical coverage and children's education for housing services workers and their families, formally launching the initiative.

The Health Family Care Fund comprises three sub-programs. The "Emergency Life Support Fund" provides rapid assistance for sudden critical illness diagnoses, delivering 20,000 yuan within two working days of confirmed diagnosis and complete documentation. Unlike traditional post-expense reimbursement insurance, this fund is positioned as "life-saving emergency support," offering timely relief to families in crisis. The other two components provide safety nets for special circumstances: the "Family Warm Assistance Fund" offers a one-time 100,000 yuan grant to workers who lose full working capacity or pass away, while the "Children's Education Fund" provides one-time educational support ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan based on the beneficiary's children's school stage, helping families navigate difficult periods.

The Health Family Care Fund benefits over 500,000 housing services workers, including eligible brand owners, store managers, agents, cleaners, and maintenance personnel. Meanwhile, the Green Plan, launched by BEKE in 2008, provides disease and accident protection for service providers and their family members, with a cumulative coverage cap of 2 million yuan. The two programs operate independently and can be claimed concurrently without conflict.
