On May 12th, coinciding with the 18th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, the Nanjing Jiangbei New District Pukou Kangju Group organized a specialized CPR and AED rescuer training session. The event featured a professional instructor team from the Jiangbei New District Health Bureau (Pukou District Red Cross Society), with active participation from the group's management and staff, fostering a strong on-site learning atmosphere.

The training adopted a "theory + demonstration + practice" model, focusing on common emergencies in both workplace and daily life scenarios. Instructors systematically explained how to identify cardiac arrest, the critical importance of the "golden four minutes," and the standard procedures for chest compressions, airway opening, and artificial respiration. Emphasis was placed on demonstrating the operational steps for an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), including powering on the device, correctly placing electrode pads, and following voice prompts, to alleviate any concerns employees might have about using the equipment. During the instruction on the Heimlich maneuver, instructors provided detailed explanations of the applicable situations, key distinctions, and standardized operational essentials for abdominal thrusts and back blows.

In the practical drill phase, participating employees conducted rescue simulations in groups, meticulously adhering to the standard depth and frequency for chest compressions while integrating the proper operational procedures for AED devices. Group members corrected each other's techniques, and instructors moved between groups offering hands-on guidance to ensure actions were precise and procedures flowed smoothly. Through this immersive practice, participants aimed to develop muscle memory, thereby effectively enhancing their practical emergency rescue capabilities. "I used to think first aid was something distant from us, but now I understand these skills can save lives in critical moments," remarked one participating employee, who noted that mastering professional first aid skills is not only a responsibility to one's own safety but also to colleagues and the enterprise.

This training serves as a key initiative by the group to fulfill its primary responsibility for workplace safety and to improve its emergency response plan system. It not only boosts employees' self-rescue and mutual aid capabilities but also helps build an emergency response team within the group that "understands first aid and dares to administer it." Moving forward, the Nanjing Jiangbei New District Pukou Kangju Group will continue to deepen communication and collaboration with institutions such as the Pukou District Red Cross Society, regularly conducting various safety and emergency training sessions to solidly reinforce workplace safety defenses and lay a robust foundation for creating a secure enterprise environment.
