Aowei Holding released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing material improvements in emissions control, resource efficiency and workplace safety across its iron-ore and construction-materials operations in mainland China.
Environmental Performance • Greenhouse-gas emissions fell 24.10 % year-on-year to 83,456.30 tCO₂e, lowering intensity to 0.10 tCO₂e per RMB 1 000 of output value. • Total water consumption declined 48.40 % to 41,981 m³, driven by a closed-loop recycling system and the suspension of Jiheng Mining’s iron-ore output. • Waste-rock recycling more than doubled to 2.96 million t, while tailings storage held steady at 1.72 million t. • Air-pollutant emissions dropped, with NOₓ down 9.70 % to 26.20 kg and SOₓ at 1.00 kg. • Energy intensity remained flat at 0.20 kWh per RMB 1 000 of output value; diesel use rose 12.90 % to 23.60 million kWh-equivalent, while gasoline consumption fell sharply.
Climate Strategy The board adopted scenario analysis (SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5) to map physical and transition risks, prioritising four strategic levers: risk mitigation, low-carbon mining, value enhancement and sustainable investment. Actions include electrification of mining equipment, development of carbon-sink forests and a full-process carbon-accounting system.
Occupational Health & Safety No work-related fatalities or serious injuries were recorded for the third consecutive year. The Group executed 146 special safety inspections, achieving a 100 % hazard-rectification rate, and conducted 639 person-training sessions alongside three emergency-response drills.
Human Capital • Headcount declined 4 % to 729 employees following organisational optimisation; local hires from Laiyuan County accounted for 72 %. • Staff turnover dropped to 4.00 % from 16.30 % in 2024. • All employees received training, averaging eight hours each.
Supply Chain & Governance The qualified-supplier base totals 152 entities, all assessed on ESG criteria. Anti-corruption training covered directors and employees, and no legal cases related to bribery, fraud or money-laundering were reported.
Community Engagement A donation of RMB 0.10 million was made to support rural-revitalisation projects in western China, targeting infrastructure and local industry development.
The company states that it will continue to seek external assurance for future ESG disclosures and integrate climate-risk metrics into performance appraisal and investment decisions.
