CHINA CINDA (01359) dropped more than 3% in Hong Kong trading, with shares falling 2.66% to HK$0.915 at the time of writing, generating a turnover of HK$46.94 million.

On the news front, the company recently released its 2026 interim results, reporting total revenue from continuing operations of RMB 22.627 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 28.01%, while profit attributable to shareholders fell 65.6% to RMB 784 million. According to the announcement, the 28.0% decline in total revenue from continuing operations was primarily driven by a reduction in other income and net gains and losses, along with lower interest income, partially offset by gains from fair value changes in non-performing debt assets and other financial instruments.

Analysis from a Guosen Securities research report indicates that CHINA CINDA's performance in the first half of 2026 came in below expectations. Segment reporting reveals that revenue from the non-performing asset operation division dropped 38.9% year-on-year to RMB 11.5 billion during the period, while net profit attributable to the parent turned to a loss of RMB 1 billion. Within this division, revenue from acquired and operated businesses posted growth, whereas acquired and restructured businesses, along with debt-to-equity swap operations, saw year-on-year declines.

Meanwhile, the financial services segment, which encompasses Cinda Securities, saw revenue fall 5.5% year-on-year, yet net profit attributable to the parent rose 3.2% to RMB 2.6 billion.
