Silver Futures Settle at $60.056, Surging 4.14% on the COMEX

The near-month silver futures contract for August delivery on the COMEX climbed $2.3890 per troy ounce today, a gain of 4.14%, to close at $60.056.

This marks the largest single-session dollar and percentage increase since Friday, June 12, 2026. The contract has now risen for two consecutive trading days, with a cumulative gain of $2.465, or 4.28%, over that period. It has advanced in four of the last five sessions.

This settlement represents the highest closing price since Thursday, July 9, 2026. The current price is 47.81% below the 52-week high of $115.08, set on Monday, January 26, 2026. It is also 61.18% above the 52-week low of $37.261, recorded on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Compared to the same period one year ago, silver prices have risen by 59.35%. From the 2026 settlement high of $115.08 on January 26, the price has declined 47.81%. Conversely, it has increased 7.44% from the 2026 settlement low of $55.898, set on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Relative to the all-time high of $115.08 on January 26, 2026, the metal has dropped 47.81%.

Year to date, silver futures are down $10.078, or 14.37%. All price figures are based on the settlement of the current front-month contract.
