Sunny Optical Technology (Group) Company Limited (“Sunny Optical,” 2382.HK) published a positive profit alert for the year ended 31 December 2025. According to the preliminary unaudited management accounts, net profit attributable to owners is expected to reach approximately RMB4,588.6 million to RMB4,723.5 million. This represents an estimated 70.0% to 75.0% increase compared to the RMB2,699.2 million recorded for the year ended 31 December 2024.

Management attributes this significant improvement primarily to an enhanced product mix that led to higher average selling prices and gross profit margins in handset lens sets and handset camera modules. In addition, a one-time investment gain of around RMB919.0 million was reported from transferring the entire equity interests in certain subsidiaries in exchange for equity interests in Goertek Optical Technology Co., Ltd.

The final audited results for the year ended 31 December 2025 are expected to be announced before the end of March 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of Sunny Optical.
